Our client in Utrecht operates in the food and beverage sector. The Utrecht factory produces some of the most beloved brands in the Netherlands, using a unique mix of modern and classic machines.

The team of around 100 colleagues works closely together in an approachable environment where collaboration and initiative are valued. For this team, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Storingsmonteur) who will keep the production lines running smoothly.

The role

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for resolving mechanical, electrical and control‑related malfunctions in installations. You support preventive maintenance and overhaul activities, assist operators with starting up and optimizing production lines, and process work orders in the system. You will switch between quick fixes and sustainable improvements, ensuring reliability and efficiency across diverse machines. Your work directly contributes to system uptime, safety and continuous improvement.

If you are technically minded but lack full experience, you can start as a Maintenance Technician in Training. With guidance, training and education, you will develop into a fully qualified technician.

Requirements

• MBO level 3 or 4 diploma in electrical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering
• At least some experience or strong technical insight with willingness to learn
• Perseverance: you don’t stop until the malfunction is solved
• Creativity and solution‑oriented thinking
• Willingness to work in a 3‑shift system (Monday to Friday: 06:30–14:30 / 14:30–21:30 / 21:30–06:30; night shifts Monday to Thursday)

• Salary between €3,283 – €4,371 per month, depending on experience
