The Logistics Manager Netherlands is responsible to ensure value for customers and shareholders is created through logistics by finding logistics solutions to send products to customers, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) and effective cost management of the department. Ensures compliance of the department to professional practices and policies (Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Dangerous Goods (DG), Customs, International Trade & Compliance (ITC), Airfreight security) as shaped by the role.
The team you will be responsible for consists of 13 FTE and a couple of interns, among which there are 2 team leads that will report directly to you. The logistics manager itself reports to The Norther Europe Manager located in the UK.
Offer
- Monthly salary of between € 5787,- to € 6944,- (depending on experience and background).

Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Netherlands and Belgian logistics budgets. Manage Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans.
- Establish and maintain focus on safety, driving a culture where safety concerns are reported and addressed.
- Ensure that the Logistics Department complies with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations
- Identification and mitigation of the risks identified on the Netherlands Logistics risk register.
- Ensure a quality focused culture within the Logistics Department that ensures non-compliant situations are reported and properly evaluated.
- Responsible for On Time Delivery In Full (OTD/OTIF) for all shipments under the responsibility of the Netherlands Logistics Department.
- Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods. Collaborate with internal and external customers to overcome road blocks to ensure shipments are made in line with customer requirements and GEHC’s strategic goals.
- Responsible for the Netherlands Logistics organizational structure / headcount.
- Ensure the Logistics department is managed (job descriptions, training programs, ensure employees are trained, talent management and succession plans).
- Represent the Benelux Logistics Department towards all internal and external customers, suppliers, authorities and stakeholders.
- Responsible for a good operational relationship with all Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (in Logistics) with a minimum of 5 years related experience in a leadership capacity in Warehousing, Distribution, and Logistics with multiple distribution centers, all modes of transportation, international trade compliance, financial analysis and project management.
- Proven managerial, leadership, employee development & conflict resolution skills.
- Proven execution skills, with the ability to meet firm deadlines under pressure.
- Demonstrated effective networking & negotiation skills.
- Process improvement experience, knowledge of data analysis, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills, data integrity, LEAN, continuous improvement methodologies & in-depth understanding of related processes.
- Strong communication skills in English and preferred Dutch (verbal & written).
