QC Laboratory Technician II – Sample Management | €46,890 per year | Hoofddorp

This role is a vital link in the journey to revolutionize cancer treatment, requiring a highly motivated professional to manage critical patient samples in a fast-paced, life-saving environment.

- Salary: €46,890 per year
- Location: Hoofddorp, Netherlands
- Work Model: On-site
- Contract: Initial 12-month temporary contract, with possibility of extension
- Shift Pattern: 4 days morning (07:00–16:00), 2 days off; 4 days evening (15:00–00:00), 2 days off.
Role
As a Lab Technician Sample Management, you'll ensure high-quality support for Quality Control and operations by managing the end-to-end sample lifecycle, requiring high levels of ownership and proficiency in aseptic techniques.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-moving environment where maintaining a continuous, compliant sample flow is essential to the department’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive QC samples and EM plates, distribute them to relevant labs, and manage transfers from -80°C to LN2 storage.
- Perform Apheresis accessioning and ensure the timely, compliant disposal of samples according to established procedures.
- Maintain 5S and Kanban areas; escalate non-conformities (deviations) and participate in small-scale improvement projects.
- Strictly follow SOPs, GxP, and safety regulations, completing all required GxPLearn and GLearn training modules.
- Utilize LIMS and Microsoft Office to track sample flow with high accuracy to minimize deviations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: (MLO level 3 or 4) , HBO, BSc in Laboratory related subjects such as Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or similar.
- Experience: Previous QC experience in a technical role within the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of GMP, GDP, and SOPs; experience in sample management is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, a hands-on mentality, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Requirements: Must be comfortable with shift work (weekends, evenings, and bank holidays).
