Laboratory Technician Quality Control - up to 52.100€ per year - Hoofddorp

As a Laboratory Technician – Quality Control, you’ll be part of the QC Sample Management team, supporting a high-throughput, GMP-regulated operation where accuracy, compliance, and teamwork are essential.
You’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring QC samples are received, handled, stored, and distributed correctly—supporting reliable testing and on-time product release in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Salary: Up to €52,100 per year (based on 40 hours);
Location: Hoofddorp, North Holland, Netherlands;
Work Model: Full-time | Onsite | Shift-based;
Shift Pattern:
4 days morning shift (starting at 07:00);
2 days off;
4 days evening shift (ending at 00:00);
2 days off;
Contract Type: 12-month temporary contract with strong intention to extend or convert to permanent;
Commute: Preferably living within 25 km of Hoofddorp; driving to work strongly preferred;
Your Role
Within the QC Sample Management team, you’ll be responsible for the timely and compliant processing of a continuous sample flow in a GMP environment. Using your aseptic techniques and attention to detail, you’ll ensure smooth operations while actively contributing ideas to improve workflows and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and 5S activities within the QC Sample Management area.
- Maintain 5S and Kanban zones to support efficient material flow.
- Receive, register, and distribute QC samples and EM plates to the appropriate QC laboratories.
- Transfer samples between –80°C freezers and liquid nitrogen (LN2) storage.
- Perform APH accession activities as the performer function.
- Dispose of samples according to GMP and internal procedures.
- Follow approved SOPs, GxP, and safety regulations at all times.
- Complete required GxPLearn and Glearn trainings within defined timelines.
- Identify and escalate deviations and non-conformities when required.
- Support and execute small continuous improvement projects.
- Contribute to a smooth, compliant, and high-quality QC operation.
- Perform additional duties as required to support QC objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum MBO/MLO level degree in Laboratory related field such as Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, and similar.
- Experience in a QC or laboratory technician role within the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous sample management experience is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of GMP, GDP, and SOP-driven environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong English communication skills (reading and speaking).
- Able to work accurately in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
- Driver’s license and access to a car preferred due to early and late shift times.
- Reliable team player with a quality mindset and continuous improvement focus.
