Warehouse Supervisor at Amsterdam, Noord-Holland

The Warehouse Supervisor role is available in Hoofddorp. You will responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse department, managing a team employees. This role involves ensuring procedures are documented and followed, planning and coordinating labor, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintaining quality standards. You will also play a crucial role in leadership, employee development, process improvement, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What will you do?

• Warehouse Operations: Coordinate the efficient operation and labor based on forecasts and DL targets.
• Procedure and Quality Assurance: Document and ensure adherence to procedures. Monitor and ensure accurate completion of KPIs, Quality Metrics, and timecard exceptions.
• Leadership and Employee Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to staff, hold HR cycle conversations, and determine training needs for employees and implement development programs.
• Process Improvement and Efficiency: Address opportunities for improvement in safety, efficiencies, and overall process management. Advise management on efficiency, effectiveness, and process management.
• Interdepartmental Liaison: Liaise with all operational departments to ensure smooth workflow and maximum synergy.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure 5S ,QEHS, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Log and chase IT tickets to resolve issues: Handle back-up planning for all key positions and replace the direct manager during their absence.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 6:30 to 15:30 and 14:00 to 23:30 hours

What do you bring as our future Warehouse Supervisor?

• 2-3 years (Medior) or 5-6 years (senior) of warehouse experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management. Team Leader or Supervisory experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
