Our client in Hoofddorp operates in the logistics and warehousing sector. They provide storage, handling and distribution services for international customers. The warehouse team consists of around 10–15 colleagues who focus on efficient processes and safe operations.
For this team, we are looking for a Warehouse First Operator who will coordinate daily activities and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
The role
As a Warehouse First Operator, you are responsible for the efficient operation of the department. You lead a team of up to 15 employees and make sure procedures are documented and followed. You monitor performance, act on quality standards and support the Supervisor during absences.
You will work closely with other operational departments to ensure synergy and smooth processes. Your role directly contributes to achieving productivity targets, maintaining safety standards and supporting continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Good communication skills in English (spoken, reading, writing)
- At least one year of experience as Team Leader, First Operator or equivalent role
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting
- Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of quality systems to a reasonable level
- Training and coaching skills to guide new and existing staff
- Open to work 2 shifts (8:30 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 23:00)
Offer
- Salary between 16 to 18,71 per hour; 38 hours per week
- 25 vacation days and 8.33% holiday allowance
